Time for a little something....
Scones
350g self raising flour
1tsp baking powder
85g salted butter
3 tbspn caster sugar
175ml milk I use full fat
Squeeze lemon
Preheat oven to 200C
Mix flour and baking powder. Add a pinch of salt if you wish.
Rub in butter
Then stir in sugar.
Warm the milk and add the squeeze of lemon once its warm on off the hob.
Make a well in the flour mix and stir in the warm milk.
Dust the surface with flour and pat out the dough to 4 cm thick
Use a smooth edged cutter to shape your scones
Glaze with milk or egg
Place in oven for 10min
Then have a tea party !
