So found a little project for the bank holiday! Quilting afternoon. The fabric is a moda charm pack. Smaller than their big squares but easier on time demands. Also one of my goals is to learn to slowly work through a quilt instead of rushing. However this was just so fun too see if I could piece it in a short time!
This blog provided the 'how too' of easy sew and cutting. I love these quick ways. I don't know who makes them up but its cleaver.

Ironed up my 9 squares. My least fave part. But it does make edges crisp.
Here it is all laid out. I like the small dark square offset to points but it does make filling the gaps at the edges more complicated to fill in.
Then ta-da !
All tacked up for some relaxing hand quilting in the evenings.
I promise when its complete to share later.
